The New Girl on the Block

When it comes to seeking out pizzazz in the city you’ll find the latest hot spot a quick skip and a jump off Cuba on humble Marion Street. She’s vivid, vivacious and has a whole lot of energy, much like ‘birth’ mother Fi. If Fi was a building, Fifi’s would be it. Bright, buoyant and that little bit bad-ass.

Admittedly Fi’s no newbie on the scene, as a somewhat legendary Wellington local and style icon she’s earned herself a household name in all things ‘welly iconic.’ From dramatic baby pinks, heavy Winehouse-esque liner and rock chick hair; she makes me want to trade in my look for Dr Martens and glitter. And as Fifi’s is Fi’s first venture out on her own it’s no surprises it reflects her true identity.

So when seeking your next perfect brew follow path to pink, it’s hard to miss the vivid lights and energetic wall art leading the trail to sweet tequila and lime truffles (a highly sought after and irresistible tasty morsel.) Good coffee, great vibes and incredible artwork by Fi’s girl gang creative pals (and more iconic Wellingtonians!) Gina Kiel and Xoe Hall. And I’m not been biased, I think the chef is pretty cute.

PS: Be sure to say hi to Peaches, the cheeky in house Whippet by the door, she loves attention, hugs and bottle lids! And for more things coffee and glitter, head to @fifiswellington
